• County task force studies impact of local income tax shift (pdclarion.com) — Oakland City is directly involved in a new Gibson County task force that will help shape how local income tax dollars are shared among cities, towns, and other taxing units. Local fiscal officers and a county council appointee will study options ahead of a November report, influencing future revenue for services as Indiana shifts tax rules starting in 2028.
