• Indiana State Police rescue injured bald eagle hit by vehicle on State Road 60 (wbiw.com) — An injured bald eagle was rescued on State Road 60 near Salem after being hit by a vehicle, thanks to quick action from an Indiana State Police trooper and conservation officers. The bird, suffering broken bones, was transported to the Raptor Center at Hardy Lake for specialized rehabilitation, with hopes it can eventually be released back into the wild.
