• Seymour Police Department to increase patrols to target seatbelt enforcement (tribtown.com) — Seymour drivers will see extra police patrols through May 31 as local officers join the national “Click It or Ticket” campaign to enforce seatbelt and child-seat laws. Funded by federal safety grants, the effort targets unbuckled drivers and passengers, with citations possible for each unrestrained child. Parents can also access free help to ensure car seats are properly installed.

• Linda Sue Robbins Denby (villages-news.com) — Seymour native Linda Sue Robbins Denby, 57, has passed away after a lengthy battle with neuroendocrine cancer, leaving family and friends mourning from Indiana to Florida. Born in Seymour in 1968, she built a life devoted to her children, community, and work, and was known for her love of sports, classic TV shows, and steadfast support of her kids’ activities.
