Centier Bank Named Indiana’s Top Bank on Forbes 2026 Best-in-State List
The award marks yet another statewide recognition for the Merrillville-based financial institution

Centier Bank has been named the No. 1 bank in Indiana on Forbes’ 2026 Best-in-State Banks list, marking another statewide recognition for the Merrillville-based financial institution.
The annual list, compiled by Forbes in partnership with the market research firm Statista, evaluates banks across the country based on customer feedback and public ratings. This year, six Indiana banks were included on the list, with Centier earning the top ranking in the state.
Centier has now appeared on Forbes’ Indiana list for nine consecutive years. The bank also previously ranked No. 1 in Indiana in 2024, 2020 and 2019.

The Best-in-State Banks survey included input from more than 26,000 U.S. residents, who rated their financial institutions on overall satisfaction, customer service, financial advice, fee transparency, digital tools and trust. Statista also reviewed more than 1.2 million public ratings and reviews of financial institutions from February 2023 through March 2026. Survey responses made up 80% of the final score, while public reviews accounted for 20%.
Chris Campbell, President of Centier Bank, said the recognition reflects the work of the bank’s associates and their focus on customer service.
