• Business owners offer rewards to those with information on Bissell Street shooting (wsbt.com) — South Bend business owners are offering free haircuts and gym memberships to anyone who provides information that helps police arrest those responsible for the triple-fatal shooting on Bissell Street. Police say many people were nearby when shots were fired but no witnesses have come forward, and they're urging residents to share tips anonymously through Michiana Crime Stoppers, which may also offer cash rewards. 
• LOS ANGELES 2028: LA28's Olympic Torch Relay invitation to cities asks no fee for stopping and celebrating, but requires free support services (thesportsexaminer.com) — South Bend is one of the first cities named in documents outlining what it would take to host a stop on the 2028 Olympic Torch Relay. The agreement shows LA28 won't charge a hosting fee but would require the city to cover costs for security, staging, promotion, and support services, while tightly controlling sponsorships and use of Olympic branding.
