Mary Bell Coburn (yournewslocal.com) — Wabash is saying goodbye to 90-year-old lifelong resident Mary Bell Coburn, a Wabash High School graduate and devoted homemaker known for her baking and cake decorating. Survived by children in Wabash and Illinois, she will be laid to rest in Riverside Cemetery in Andrews, with private services arranged through Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service in Wabash.
   

2. Steven Charles Emrick (yournewslocal.com) — Wabash residents are mourning the passing of 81-year-old Steven Charles Emrick, a Vietnam veteran, horseman, and devoted family man who lived most of his life in the community. His graveside service and burial will be held Wednesday, September 23, at Marion National Cemetery, with arrangements handled by Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service in Wabash.
   

3. More Information Released On Arrest Of Laketon Teenager For Fatal Vehicle Accident (inkfreenews.com) — A Laketon 19‑year‑old has been charged in connection with an April crash in Wabash County that killed a North Manchester teen passenger. Court documents say he was allegedly driving over 118 mph and had THC in his system when his car split in two after striking a tree.

Kipster, MPS Egg Farms win Indiana environmental award (wattagnet.com) — A North Manchester egg farm has earned Indiana’s top environmental award, and nearly all of its manure is shipped to a Wabash facility to be turned into low‑ammonia organic fertilizer. The operation’s solar power, circular feed system, and public visitor center are drawing statewide attention as a model for sustainable agriculture.
   

5. Heinz Horst Schmidt (yournewslocal.com) — A longtime North Manchester resident who once delivered the Wabash Plain Dealer on a country route has died at Peabody Healthcare Center. Remembered for his decades at the North Manchester Foundry and his many practical skills, he leaves family throughout the region, including a grandchild living in Wabash and several in nearby towns.
