Indianapolis March For Our Lives Rally Moves Inside Statehouse
March for Our Lives rally in Indy has been moved inside the Statehouse due to expected winter weather: More

INDIANAPOLIS, IN -- The organizers of the March for our Lives rally in Indianapolis on Saturday, March 24 have moved the event inside the Statehouse due to the expected winter weather. According to the event's Facebook page, organizers say up to 6,000 people can fit inside the Statehouse, and they hope the event is packed. The event begins at 11 a.m. and will include speeches and other pushes for legislators to pass policies aimed at preventing more school shootings.
This march will also take place around the country in different cities in towns. The national movement took a big stand after the Feb. 14 deadly shootings at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, which led to threats at local Indiana schools.
Just last week several schools around Indianapolis and across the U.S. took part in the National School Walkout event for 17 minutes; one minute for each of the 17 students and teachers killed during the Parkland school shootings. During this time, students also protested for stricter gun laws and will continue doing so Saturday.
