Lawn-Mowing Man Pleads Guilty In Greenwood Neighbor Shooting Spat

Johnson County prosecutors charged Jeffrey S. Weigle in June Greenwood shooting spat involving Indianapolis firefighter neighbor Dean Keller

JOHNSON COUNTY, IN — An Johnson County man who was wounded when an argument with a neighbor escalated into across-the-fence gunfire has pleaded guilty in the case, AP reports. The Johnson County prosecutor's office charged Jeffrey S. Weigle in July with criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon, as AP reports he pleaded guilty Thursday in an agreement with prosecutors. AP adds that he was released Thursday night as a judge gave him credit for about six months already served in jail.

This video shows Weigle and his Indianapolis firefighter neighbor Dean Keller exchange insults on their greenwood properties on June 27, 2017, before Weigle - appearing to ride a lawnmower - pull out a handgun.

After this, the video shows Indianapolis firefighter Dean Keller fire his gun and Weigle returning fire. Weigle suffered a chest wound, but Keller was not injured.
