• New Indiana homesteading law expands what small farms can sell directly to consumers (ipm.org) — A new Indiana homesteading law, championed in part by Rep. Hunter Smith of Zionsville, now lets small farms and homesteaders sell more homemade foods directly to consumers. The measure creates new vendor categories, sets labeling and safety rules, and could expand what local farmstands across the state can legally offer while keeping health oversight in place.
