• City leaders question HIRTA rationale for service cuts (theperrynews.com) — Adel residents should know that while Perry’s HIRTA paratransit service will be cut in half starting July 1, Adel’s service is not being reduced despite similar county funding. Perry officials are questioning why only certain high-ridership, non-funding cities face cuts, while HIRTA leaders say the changes are needed to close a major budget gap and may worsen without new local support.
