Ames seeks applicants for data center study committee (iowastatedaily.com) — Ames is recruiting residents for a new committee to study the environmental impacts of data centers planned near the Ames Municipal Airport, with applications open through Sept. 9. Members will review research on heat, wildlife, and health effects, then deliver a nonbinding report to the City Council early next year to guide future regulations.

Motorists who normally cross the bridge will need to use nearby interchanges to turn around and are urged to follow detour signs, slow down, and stay alert in the work zone.
