• Connie Kay Echols (threeriverspublishing.com) — Anamosa readers will recognize the Caspers and Echols families in remembering Connie Kay Echols, who was born and married in Anamosa and has several siblings still living there. Connie later made her home in Cuba, Missouri, where she raised her family, restored the historic Wagon Wheel Motel, and pursued her love of horses, crafts, and church life before passing away on May 2 at age 76.
