• Low Mississippi River Levels Raise Concerns Ahead of Harvest (rfdtv.com) — From Ankeny, farm and shipping leaders are warning that persistently low Mississippi River levels could complicate grain and soybean exports during this fall's harvest. While recent rains have helped somewhat, experts say it's unclear if water levels will stay high enough to avoid barge bottlenecks, even with costly dredging work by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
