WATCH: Ankeny Woman Among Two Arrested in Car Break-In Ring

Both suspects are accused of allegedly stealing at least one vehicle, breaking into numerous others at daycare centers, gyms, and recreation areas around the Des Moines metro.

Des Moines police have arrested two people in connection to numerous car break-ins that have been reported in the Des Moines metro area as well as Mason City.

After a two-month investigation, police from Des Moines, Ankeny, Clive and West Des Moines arrested Kyle Uriah Krug, 33, of Mason City, and Amanda Marie Earp, 26, of Ankeny, according to the Des Moines Register.

Both suspects were arrested at an extended stay motel in Ankeny, the article said.

Police told the Register that Krug and Earp stole at least one vehicle, broke into numerous others at daycare centers, gyms, and recreation areas around the city and assaulted a man who confronted them about burglarizing his vehicle.

Both are being held in Polk County Jail. Krug is facing charges of second-degree robbery, first-degree theft, three counts of third-degree burglary and six counts of false use of a credit card. 

Earp is charged with second-degree robbery, two counts of third-degree burglary, and four counts of false use of a credit card.
