• Be Ready QC Emergency Resource Fair Takes Place August 30 (rcreader.com) — Bettendorf will host the Be Ready QC Emergency Resource Fair on Sunday, August 30, from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Quad Cities Waterfront Convention Center on State Street. Families can explore free disaster-preparedness booths, see first-responder equipment, learn Hands Only CPR and Stop the Bleed, and enter preparedness-themed prize drawings.
   

• QC Arts youth program will bring public art projects to Bettendorf, Milan (ourquadcities.com) — Young artists from the Metro Arts Youth Apprenticeship Program will turn the steps between Isle Casino and Bettendorf’s riverfront into a large public art piece August 12–22, inviting residents and visitors to explore the transformed space. The project, part of Quad City Arts’ broader summer efforts, complements other creative events like Alternating Currents and Mural Fest around the region.
