Cedar Falls Patch said it best: it's finally spring! We're excited to see green yards and flowers in bloom. When Cedar Falls Patch encouraged blogs with tips for a gorgeous lawn and pictures of beautiful lawns and garden, it sounded like another good excuse to share this week :).

I will let Gina do the talking, “Anyone fortunate enough to get cut flowers for Mother's Day or any occasion, will want to use Basic H2 in their flower water.  I have used it for years with great success.  If you cut your flowers at an angle, then put them in cool water (12-15 oz.) with a couple sprays of the all-purpose solution of Basic H2, they will keep much longer.  Adjust your mixture up or down according to your vase size.  Rinsing out your vase and adding new water with Basic H2 in it daily, and recutting your flowers once a week can extend the life of your flowers to as much as four weeks.  Basic H2 works really well when watering inside or outside plants.  For these, start with a lesser solution in slightly warm water and adjust according to what your plants like.  Some of my plants like a spraying with the window solution of Basic H2 too.  Plants not doing too well can respond to a spraying of the window or all-purpose solution of Basic H2.  Two years in a row, I have been able to save and promote blooms on a rosebush that had problems thriving just by spraying it with the window and the all-purpose solution of Basic H2.  This is so economical and so safe for children, animals, and the environment that it I knew it was the best choice possible.  Now I hope everyone can enjoy their plants and flowers longer.”
