• University of Northern Iowa foundry center receives state funding for new equipment (newsfromthestates.com) — Cedar Falls' own University of Northern Iowa just secured $970,000 in state funding to upgrade its off-campus Foundry 4.0 Center. New high-tech equipment like a 3D sand printer and induction furnace will boost student learning and help UNI partner more effectively with Iowa manufacturers, strengthening the local innovation and workforce pipeline.
