Compost Training Event Scheduled for August 20
This one-day workshop will teach you how to transform your plant materials and food waste into usable, nutrient-rich soil!

In an effort to increase compost operations and reduce food waste the Iowa Waste Reduction Center is hosting a one-day training class in August at the University of Northern Iowa.
The event, Food Waste Compost Training: On the Farm and in Your Community, is a one-day workshop, presented by the Office of the President at the University of Northern Iowa, taking place on Thursday, August 20 at the Center for Energy and Environmental Education in Cedar Falls, IA.
IWRC is working with the U.S. Composting Council to provide this as an official USCC Composter Training Program to be led by Robert Rynk, an expert in on-farm composting. The workshop will cover fundamentals, equipment as well as the variety of uses for compost! Registration is $20 but seating is limited so register today at iwrc.org/compost.
