NEW STAFF JOIN BIG BROTHERS BIG SISTERS
Big Brothers Big Sisters welcomes Marshall Abbe, Vanessa McNeal and Danielle Ballard to the staff team!

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeast Iowa serves over 300 youth each year in Black Hawk, Bremer and Butler Counties and is proud to announce that with the recent award from the Iowa Department of Public Health and AmeriCorps, the agency was able to add three new staff positions in 2016.
Danielle Ballard has joined Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeast Iowa as an AmeriCorps Enrollment Coordinator. Danielle is a Master’s student at the University of Northern Iowa pursuing a degree in Social Work with a concentration in Trauma Informed Care. She has previously worked with other at-risk youth-serving organizations including the Iowa Juvenile Court Services, Heart and Solutions, LLC, and Exceptional People’s Inc.
Vanessa McNeal has also joined Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeast Iowa as an AmeriCorps Enrollment Coordinator. She was an AmeriCorps member before, in 2012, and is also on her way to earning her Master’s degree in Social Work with a concentration in Trauma Informed Care at the University of Northern Iowa. Vanessa also has experience as an at home caregiver and interned for the Department of Human Services.

Marshall Abbe has also joined Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeast Iowa as an AmeriCorps Enrollment Coordinator. Marshall is also earning his Master’s degree in Social Work with a concentration in Trauma Informed Care at the University of Northern Iowa. Marshall has six years of related experience, and is in training to receive his Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) Certification. In his free time, Marshall is a self-employed Event Coordinator and DJ.
