• Illinois man dies after Dubuque County crash (cbs2iowa.com) — A Cedar Falls man, 41-year-old Gaurav Karwal, was seriously injured in a single-vehicle crash early Aug. 14 in Dubuque County that also fatally injured an Illinois man. Both were initially taken to MercyOne Dubuque, and Karwal's injuries highlight the broader impact of this eastern Iowa crash on Cedar Falls residents. The Dubuque County Sheriff's Office continues to investigate.
