VCCV Weekly Volunteer Opportunities

Connecting community, changing lives.

• Waterloo Middle School Metro Track Meet volunteers are needed to assist as ticket takers, ribbon sorters, and timers on May 16 from 7:30 - 9:45 a.m. and 9:45 - 12:30 p.m. Volunteers age 16 and over are welcome.

• Black Hawk Soil & Water Conservation District needs volunteers on May 16 from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. to assist with a water monitoring program to gather water quality data from the four branches of Dry Run Creek. Volunteers should be age 18 or older.


• Iowa State University Extension Black Hawk County needs adult volunteers to serve as 4-H club leaders for youth between the ages of 6 and 21 years in Waterloo. Volunteers should be age 21 or older.

• Get involved while honoring Memorial Day! Volunteers are needed on May 25 from 9:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. to assist with children’s activities and serving boxed lunches at the Sullivan Brothers Iowa Veterans Museum. Volunteers should be age 13 or older.
