VCCV Weekly Volunteer Opportunities

Connecting community, changing lives.

· Green Iowa AmeriCorps is looking for volunteers to help clean-up some of the recreational trails in Cedar Falls around Pfeiffer Springs Park. Bags and gloves will be provided on May 21 from 9:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Volunteers age 16 and over are welcome.

· Get involved while honoring Memorial Day! Volunteers are needed on May 25 from 9:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. to assist with children’s activities and serving boxed lunches at the Sullivan Brothers Iowa Veterans Museum. Volunteers should be age 13 or older.

· The Hearst Center is looking for volunteers to join our team of educator. Long-term volunteers are needed to assist with project preparation, child supervision, and general classroom maintenance for various camps and events. Volunteers should be age 16 or older.

· The Jesse Cosby Center in conjunction with the Northeast Iowa Area Agency on Aging (NEI3A) delivers meals to community members. Volunteer drivers and runners are needed for the 100+ meals delivered Monday through Friday. Drivers can drive on day a week or several times a month. Volunteers should be age 18 or older.
