- ASPIRE Therapeutic Riding Program is in need of volunteers to assist as horse helpers, lead walkers, side walkers and barn assistants. Training is being held on September 9 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Volunteers must be age 16 and over.
- The UNI Culture and Intensive English Program needs host families to be paired with an international student to provide companionship by inviting them to meals in their home, activities in their community, and holiday events. Sign-up deadline is September 9.
- SportAbility of Iowa is looking for volunteers to help serve breakfast at the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Waterloo on September 20 from 8:00 a.m. - Noon. The event will raise funds to support the organization. Volunteers must be age 13 and over.
- Unity Point Hospice needs volunteers who are interested in serving others at the end of life. Volunteers must apply and interview by September 14 before starting the required 16 hour orientation on September 22. Volunteers must be age 18 and over.
