• The Black Hawk County Solid Waste Management Commission and the City of Cedar Falls are seeking volunteers to help with disposal of heavy items during their electronics recycling and household hazardous materials drop-off event in Cedar Falls on September 26 from 7:45 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Volunteers must be age 18 and over.
• Volunteers age 16 and over are needed at McElroy Auditorium on September 26 from 5:30 until 10:00 p.m. for Aspire Therapeutic Riding Program’s Night of the Horse event.
• Grin and Grow Daycare is looking for new Board members for a 3 year term. The Board meets on the last Wednesday of the month from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. Interested volunteers age 18 and over should inquire by September 26.

• Pet loving volunteers age 14 and over are needed to provide animal assisted therapy/activities in care centers, residential facilities, and respite programs through PET PALS. Pets will receive temperament evaluation prior to participation and Humane Society puppies and kittens may also be used.
