VCCV Weekly Volunteer Opportunities:

Connecting community, changing lives.

• Hike Guides are needed for Halloween Hikes October 7 - 9 from 6:00 - 7:30 p.m. at Hartman Reserve Nature Center. Additional volunteer positions include: face painters, kitchen help, gift shop and actors. Volunteers must be age 16 and over.


• Volunteers age 16 and over are needed for Iowa Heartland for Humanity with varying times and dates. Positions include donation receiving assistant, reset volunteers, donation pick-up assistants, customer associates or cashiers.


• The Black Hawk Soil and Water Conservation District is partnering with IOWATER and the Iowa Department of Natural Resources to hold a water quality “snapshot” to gather data from the four branches of Dry Run Creek on October 24. Volunteers age 18 and over are welcome.

• Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeast Iowa is seeking candidates, age 18 and over, for a volunteer Program Internship opportunity at the Waterloo office. The office is open Monday - Friday from 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. and interns can choose their schedule based on our agency’s schedule.
