VCCV Weekly Volunteer Opportunities

Connecting community, changing lives.

• Do you enjoy Valentine’s Day? Assist with a British low tea and learn about the history of Valentine’s Day at the Grout Museum District on February 13. You will assist registered attendees in creating a Danish Heart Basket, paper roses and Valentine’s in addition to assisting staff in serving the tea from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Volunteers should be 14 or older.

Lincoln Elementary School in Cedar Falls is in need of volunteers to helpmake Wacky Winterfest a success on February 20 from 3:00 – 9:00 p.m. Volunteers age 13 and over are welcome.

• The Cedar Falls Historical Society is hosting Junior Girls Scouts on February 20 from 8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. for a program on etiquette. Volunteers will host a station while leading an activity. The program will end with a mini tea-party. Women age 16 and older are invited.

• The February 27th Museum Madness theme is Lego Engineering at theGrout Museum District and Bluedorn Science Imaginarium. Volunteers may assist with activities from 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. at either museum for a few hours or all day.
