VCCV Weekly Volunteer Opportunities

Connecting community, changing lives.

• Honor veterans and families by helping during the Memorial Day Parade Celebration in downtown Waterloo at the Sullivan Brothers Iowa Veterans Museum on May 30. Assistance is needed from 9:30 a.m. through 1:30 p.m. with set up, handing out lunches, making and serving lemonade, and clean up.

NEI3A Waterloo, Iowa is seeking volunteers to distribute Farmers Market checks to seniors at multiple locations in Waterloo beginning June 1. Shifts typically last 3 hours and a brief training will be provided.

• Do you enjoy volunteering with children and the movie Frozen? Join in the fun at the Grout Museum District and help with a Frozen-themed British low tea on June 11 from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Assist the attendees in creating a marshmallow Olaf, paper snowflakes, antlers like Sven and more!

Cedar Valley Preschool & Child Care Center is seeking some energetic young volunteers 9:00 a.m. to 12 p.m. Monday through Friday who enjoy spending time with young children to volunteer with their summer program filled with activities and excitement.
