- Cedar Valley Friends of the Family is seeking volunteers to assist with event preparations for the 5th Annual Rock Away Hunger and Homelessness event at Joe’s Knight Hawk in Waverly on Monday, August 29; Tuesday, September 6; Friday, September 23; and Friday, September 30.
- The Boys & Girls Club of the Cedar Valley are in need of 18 volunteers to help with a pancake breakfast at Longhorn Steakhouse. On Saturday, September 24th from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. volunteers will work as hosts, servers, drink makers, dish washers, and ticket takers.
- The Black Hawk County Solid Waste Management Commission and the City of Cedar Falls are seeking volunteers age 18 and older that can help with the lifting of old TVs and computer monitors during their electronics recycling and household hazardous materials drop-off event at Cedar Falls Public Works Complex on September 24 from 7:45 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. or for a morning shift, 7:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.
- Black Hawk County Election Office is looking for Precinct Election Officials. Volunteers must be at least 18 years old and registered to vote in Black Hawk County. All precinct election officials are required to attend training and able to work 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. on Election Day, November 8.
