City officials hope to reopen as soon as work is finished and urge residents to watch the pool’s Facebook page for reopening updates, while nearby New Hampton shares tips and an upcoming pool event.
   

4. Northern Iowa OWI suspect snared by Charles City police, later held on ICE detainer (northiowatoday.com) — Charles City police recently arrested a driver on suspicion of second-offense OWI after a late-night traffic stop on Gilbert Street, leading to multiple driving-related charges. The man, from Eagle Grove, was later transferred from Floyd County to Linn County on an immigration hold requested by federal authorities, and no court outcome has been reported yet.
