• Informational meeting on Downtown Corning Streetscape Project set for Thursday (kmaland.com) — Corning residents and business owners are invited Thursday at 5 p.m. to the Corning Community Center to learn how a $1.3 million Davis Avenue streetscape project will affect sidewalks, lighting, storm sewers, and business access. City officials and engineers will explain the construction schedule, potential disruptions, and steps businesses can take to stay open as work progresses toward completion by late 2026.
   

• Lenox fire department orders new pumper truck chassis (kmaland.com) — When Lenox’s fire truck is out helping in places like Corning, the town can be left short on protection, so the department is investing in a new Freightliner pumper chassis to keep two strong engines in service. The upgrade replaces a 41-year-old truck, adds modern safety features and four-door seating with built-in air-pack seats, and should arrive by late summer.
