The family-friendly event pairs Hawkeye football energy with auctions, kids' activities, food, and special Ohl Strong apparel, with all proceeds helping patients within 75 miles of the Quad Cities.
   

2. Century-old Davenport homes saved from demolition to house refugee families (wqad.com) — Two long-vacant century-old houses in Davenport have been fully renovated and will soon provide affordable homes for refugee families from Afghanistan and Sudan. Backed by First Presbyterian Church, Tapestry Farms, and local contractors, the $180,000 project overhauled everything from roofs to furnaces, turning once-doomed properties into safe, welcoming spaces for new Quad Cities neighbors.
