• Fireworks believed to spark porch fire in Dubuque (cbs2iowa.com) — A Dubuque family safely escaped a porch fire early Sunday after fireworks thrown into a trash container reignited and damaged part of their front porch, bins, and carpeting. Firefighters quickly contained the blaze, kept the home habitable, and are urging residents to fully soak used fireworks and store them in non-combustible containers away from houses and other flammable materials.
   

• Dubuque Man Arrested on Burglary and Driving Charges (dubuqueinpursuitnews.com) — A 49-year-old Dubuque resident has been jailed on second-degree burglary and driving-while-revoked charges after an incident Sunday on Queen Street, with bond set at $11,000 cash. Police say he was arrested without reported injuries and booked into Dubuque County Jail, while officials remind residents that the allegations remain under investigation and he is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
