• School officials, police say North Scott Homecoming shenanigans have ‘escalated beyond acceptable boundaries' (kcrg.com) — Eldridge families are being warned that North Scott Homecoming mischief has crossed the line, with the school district and Eldridge Police vowing strict consequences for vandalism, trespassing, and intimidation. Students reported for off-campus misconduct can be banned from Homecoming events and lose extracurricular eligibility, while parents are urged to closely supervise teens and report unsafe plans.
   

• Eldridge Police Department receives Iowa accreditation (ourquadcities.com) — Eldridge residents can now count on a fully accredited local police department, as the Eldridge Police Department has earned its first-ever Iowa Law Enforcement Accreditation Program certification. The voluntary review examined policies, training, and daily operations, and the department will be formally honored at a future Eldridge City Council meeting and again at a statewide police chiefs conference in 2027.
