• BOIL ADVISORY in Exira until further notice! (kjan.com) — Exira residents are being urged to boil all tap water before drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth, or preparing food because the city’s system is temporarily drawing from another system under its own advisory. Bring water to a rolling boil for one minute, cool it, or use bottled water instead; regular bathing is fine, but discolored water should not be used for consumption.
   

• More information available for Elk Horn residents about RAGBRAI (swiowanewssource.com) — RAGBRAI’s 2026 route will roll through both Elk Horn and Exira on its weeklong ride across Iowa, giving local residents a chance to see thousands of cyclists pass by. Elk Horn has launched a dedicated Facebook page with details on food vendors, entertainment, street closures, and volunteer sign-ups for its July 20 morning stop.
