• Linn County zoning commission to revisit Morgan Valley Energy Center rezoning Oct. 19 (corridorbusiness.com) — A major gas-fired power plant is proposed just northwest of Fairfax, and Linn County’s Planning and Zoning Commission will revisit the rezoning request on Oct. 19 in Cedar Rapids. Fairfax-area residents can attend, comment in person, or submit remarks online before the county forwards a recommendation to the Board of Supervisors and, ultimately, the Iowa Utilities Commission.
