Author Visit: Ty Smedes Discusses Return of Iowa's Bald Eagles
Local author Ty Smedes visits the library to discuss Iowa's bald eagles.
Local author, Ty Smedes, will be at the Johnston Public Library on November 19th to discuss his latest book, The Return of Iowa’s Bald Eagles. Smedes’ writing is filled with nest diaries, photo galleries, facts and anecdotes that illustrate bald eagle biology as well as our national bird’s recovery right here in Iowa.
Smedes career as a full-time outdoor writer and photographer actually began in the fields of Iowa during hunting season. He soon realized that a camera would allow him to be in the field all year round documenting the wildlife and natural habitat that he loves.
Join Smedes on November 19 at 10:30 am at Johnston Public Library for a slide presentation and discussion that will reveal interesting insights about the bald eagle and its life here in Iowa.
