Blog: Lost Egypt Winner at Johnston Public Library
Discover Ancient Egypt at the Science Center of Iowa and Johnston Public Library.

Here at Johnston Public Library, we are all about the quest for knowledge. So is the Science Center of Iowa, which is featuring a brand new, limited engagement exhibit, Lost Egypt: Ancient Secrets, Modern Science. This exhibit reveals how archaeologists use modern science and technology to uncover new information about the ancient civilization of Egypt. Visitors to the Science Center can view authentic artifacts, build a pyramid, decode hieroglyphics, get their photo taken on a camel, and meet Annie, Lost Egypt’s human mummy.
Last week Johnston Public Library held a drawing for a free family pass to this exhibit, and our winner was Christine Sachs of Johnston. She and her family are on their way to see a real human mummy at the Science Center. The exhibit runs through April 29, 2012. For more information visit the Science Center of Iowa’s website at sciowa.org/lostegypt.
