IRS Refund Information
The IRS's improved Where's My Refund? (WMR) website tool will become operational on January 30.

Where's My Refund?”
The IRS's improved Where's My Refund? website tool will become
operational on January 30. Taxpayers can use this tool to check on the
status of their refunds. WMR is updated every 24 hours - usually
overnight - so taxpayers should check only once per day. WMR will
provide the most current information available; therefore, the IRS
recommends that all taxpayers track their refunds with this tool and
call only when WMR directs the taxpayer to "Take action."
The IRS's standard response to refund status inquiries will be, "More
than 9 out of 10 tax refunds are issued in less than 21 days."
Obviously, a certain percentage of returns will take longer to process
when further review is deemed necessary.
