Winter Break Fun at the Library

The kids are out for winter break and we are ready for them! Bring the family to Johnston Public Library for a wide variety of fun-filled activities and grab some new books, movies and music to-go on your way out. Free entertainment for the family--fantastic!

Winter Break Movie

Bring the family and enjoy the big screen for free! This month’s feature film is Mr. Popper’s Penguins, rated PG. No registration necessary; children under age 6 must be accompanied by an adult.  

After School Edge™ Game Computer
Thanks to a generous gift from the Friends of the Johnston Public Library, we now have a new educational game computer for kids. Located in the Youth Services area, the After School Edge computer has educational games that offer fun and interactive ways to develop literacy and problem-solving skills for kids ages 6-14. The After School Edge computer is made by the same company that produces our Early Literacy Station computer that has been so popular with younger kids. Come try it out—your kids will love it.
