Household Hazardous Products
You know that stuff? It’s been sitting under your sink for years and you pull it out every once in a while when someone spills something bad on your carpet. It’s probably one of many hiding under there that should be cleared out. These are products labeled Flammable – Hazardous – Keep out of Children’s Reach – Toxic. You can recycle many of the expired or unwanted ones at our Metro Hazardous Waste Drop-Off.
Before you bring your old products to us, take a moment to review this list of items accepted for free or a nominal fee. Learn how our staff can also assist qualifying businesses with their hazardous materials. To expedite your visit, follow these simple tips:
- Keep products in original containers when possible
- Do not combine product contents
- Place items in a cardboard box or carrying container for easy transportation
- Avoid using garbage or plastic bags
- Make sure lids or caps are screwed on tight to avoid spills
- Place compact fluorescent light bulbs (CFLs) in sealed plastic bags
The facility is located just a half mile north of I-80 off the Adventureland exit in Bondurant.
