This Week at the Johnston Public Library

This week at Johnston Public Library we have an interesting mix of information, conversation, culture and good old-fashioned fun. Mark your calendars for these events happening at the library in the next couple of days:

Johnston Public Library Adult Book Club
Thursday, February 13
6:30pm to 7:45pm
You’re invited to Johnston Public Library Adult Book Club on the second Thursday of every month. This month’s book is Will Schwalbe’s memoir The End of Your Life Book Club.
This “profoundly moving memoir of caregiving, mourning, and love…is about the joy of reading, and the ways that joy is multiplied when we share it with others.” Conversation is guaranteed to be lively and free coffee, treats, and good company are provided. No registration is necessary; books are available at the Circulation Desk while supplies last.

Art After Hours

Come to Johnston Public Library after hours for our JPL gallery night. This current exhibition features three local artists: Amy Wood Thomas, Lisa Lawshe and Michael Burgher. Come for the art. Stay for the snacks. Mingle with interesting people. Everyone is welcome; no registration necessary.  

Early-Out Book Club

Books. Snacks. Friends. Fun…at the Early-Out Book Club on the second Wednesday of each month for 3rd through 5th graders. This month, kids will bring a favorite book or a book they have recently finished. The group will decide on next month’s theme together at the February meeting.
