• Le Mars Nurse Sentenced For Diverting Drugs For His Own Use (kiwaradio.com) — A 49-year-old Le Mars nurse has been sentenced to 30 months in federal prison after admitting he diverted large amounts of powerful painkillers for his own use and falsified related medical records. Prosecutors said he repeatedly obtained fentanyl and Dilaudid without proper authorization while working as a registered nurse. He’ll also pay a fine and serve supervised release after prison.
