• City crews in Cedar Rapids, Marion respond to flooding after heavy rains overnight (kcrg.com) — Marion crews have set up pumps at several low-lying neighborhood intersections and closed Thomas, Prairie Hill, and Boyson parks, along with key trails like the CeMar and Boyson, after heavy rains caused Indian Creek to overflow. Cedar Rapids is also pumping along major sewer lines and watching creek and Cedar River levels, while both cities urge residents to check sump pumps and stay away from flooded streets and barricaded areas.
   

• Flooding closes Marion parks, hits fall farm attraction (kcrg.com) — Flooding has forced the closure of Thomas, Prairie Hill, and Boyson parks in Marion after about four and a half inches of weekend rain sent Indian Creek over its banks. Trails, courts, and green space are underwater, and a nearby fall attraction at Bass Family Farms also had to shut its activity area, while Marion and Cedar Rapids crews run pumps and urge residents to avoid flooded areas and barricades.
