Transportation Commission approves RISE funds for Perry, West Burlington, New Hampton, Bondurant (kjan.com) — State transportation officials have approved nearly $700,000 in additional RISE funding to help Perry build a new roundabout serving the city’s industrial park, including the incoming JBS sausage plant and ADR Axles. The project aims to replace a worrisome stop-sign intersection on Highway 141, improving safety and access for hundreds of workers and nearby businesses by late 2028.

Perry woman allegedly assaults Perry man at jailhouse door in Adel (theperrynews.com) — A Perry woman faces domestic abuse assault and disorderly conduct charges after an alleged attack on a Perry man in the lobby of the Dallas County Jail in Adel. Court records say surveillance video captured the incident, and she now awaits a preliminary hearing, with all charges still only accusations at this stage.
   

4. Acorns and Oaks plans for growth in newly remodeled Eden Acres facility (theperrynews.com) — Families in Perry now have a new K–2 Christian microschool and expanded daycare option as Acorns and Oaks Christian Academy opens in the newly remodeled Eden Acres facility of Perry Lutheran Homes. The intergenerational program, serving infants through early elementary students, emphasizes small class sizes, faith-based learning, and connections between children and older adults while supporting working families and the local workforce.
