• Heritage Board proposes saving old bank building (nwestiowa.com) — Sioux Center’s city council has backed a Heritage Village plan to relocate the historic Sioux Center State Bank building from North Main Avenue, preserving it as a museum-style anchor and gathering space. The move would support downtown revitalization while expanding Heritage Village with added storage, a potential military museum house, and use of estate funds, pending detailed planning and financial feasibility. 
• Draft FY 2027 - 2031 Iowa Transportation Improvement Program Presented to the Iowa Transportation Commission (iowadot.gov) — A new five-year Iowa DOT plan includes work on U.S. 75 just north of Sioux Center, which could affect local driving and freight traffic. The draft program outlines $4.2 billion in statewide transportation investments, emphasizing highway, bridge, and safety upgrades, and is open for public comment before final approval in June.
