• St. Ansgar Fuel Time gas station offers some of the nations cheapest E85 fuel (kwwl.com) — Drivers in St. Ansgar can currently fill up with E85 for just $1.49 a gallon at the locally run Fuel Time station, thanks to its close connection with ethanol supplier Absolute Energy. Owners Galen and Garrett Barker say the cheaper, ethanol-heavy fuel still turns a profit for them and can cut cost per mile for flex-fuel vehicle owners, even if mileage drops slightly. 
• High school roundup from May 11th (kgloam.com) — St. Ansgar athletes had a strong showing in Monday’s Top of Iowa golf tournaments, with the girls placing second in Sheffield and the boys winning the East title in Manly with a 326.
