• Pottawattamie Conservation Shares Update on Railroad Highway Trail, Welcomes New Board Leadership (westerniowatoday.com) — Underwood residents are a key part of a major new trail push, with $2.9 million already secured to pave a 4.2‑mile Railroad Highway Trail segment between Weston and Underwood. The city is a named partner as leaders also fundraise for a 5‑mile extension from Underwood to Neola, ultimately tying local neighborhoods into a larger countywide and national trail network.
