• FEMA approves nearly $119 million for Midwest disaster recovery (fingerlakes1.com) — Urbandale is set to receive more than $3.3 million in FEMA hazard mitigation funding to buy out at-risk properties, aiming to reduce future disaster damage. The broader $119 million package also supports repairs to roads, bridges, utilities, and infrastructure across Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, and Nebraska, as communities recover from recent severe weather and prepare for future storms.
