• Norwalk renews efforts to bring Buc-ee's after Urbandale rejection (kcci.com) — Urbandale's recent rejection of a land-use change for a proposed Buc-ee's has reopened the door for Norwalk and other suburbs to court the massive travel center. Norwalk's mayor is aggressively pitching a large I-35 site, while Ankeny, Bondurant, and West Des Moines also express interest, leaving Urbandale residents watching whether the project lands elsewhere in the metro.
