• Night Ranger Shares New Tour Dates for 2027 (wearesierravista.com) — Night Ranger has added a fall tour stop in Waukee, playing Vibrant Music Hall on September 18, 2026 as part of a busy national schedule. The band is celebrating decades of hits, a new best-of collection, and is even considering fresh studio material while lining up more 2027 dates.
   

• 16 unclaimed veterans honored in historic Iowa burial (kcci.com) — Hundreds gathered at Waukee's Lutheran Church of Hope as 16 previously unclaimed veterans were honored and then laid to rest at the Iowa Veterans Cemetery, with remains flown in by military helicopter. Organized by Des Moines nonprofit The Final Salute, the ceremony marked the group's 100th burial and featured tributes from community members and state leaders.
